And the number of cars managed Alphabet increased by almost 40% in 2005, the company has announced.
By the end of the year the company had 138,487 vehicles on its books, up 39.8% the previous year.
The company said the main reasons for this growth included the expansion of account management and customer service, close customer co-operation and a strong international network.
Head of Alphabet Karl-Heinz Kral said: ‘Overall, I am pleased with our progress in 2005. Because of our professional, motivated team, we have won new customers and strengthened relationships with existing customers in all countries.
‘We harmonised our products and services across markets and with e-business extensions, we have laid the path for innovations to serve our customers even better.’
During 2005, the company held its fourth annual Fleet Intelligence Forum in Barcelona.
It brings international fleet managers together to discuss fleet trends and share best practices. The company said that through events like this, it learns its customers needs and creates tailor-made solutions.
