EVER wished you could place three cars you are interested in side-by-side and compare their specifications? Now you can with the car comparator on the website www.companycardriver.co.uk

CompanyCarDriver (CCD) is the new website from the publisher of Fleet News, designed to be a gathering point of information for people who drive on business.

The comparator, powered by CAP, is located on the top menu on the CCD homepage, which will become available to you after a quick and free registration process.

Trying to compare cars by taking information from each manufacturer’s site is notoriously difficult. Each lists information in a different way: the first three specifications for a Mercedes-Benz C-class are cylinders, bhp, then torque, while on BMW’s 3-series listing, transmission, safety and interior spec come first.

On CCD’s car comparator, you can look at up to three different cars with the same order of information, with everything from CO2 emissions to boot space listed side-by-side.

Jeremy Bennett, Fleet News and CCD editor, said: ‘This is such a quick and easy way to compare models against each other. The car comparator can help drivers make a more informed choice on their next car, saving a lot of time and energy in the process.’

CCD’s registration process is currently being revised and will be even quicker and easier to use. We will be asking fewer questions before being allowed to log in.
