CHIEF research scientist David Lynam, who works in the Transport Research Laboratory’s safety division, was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s 80th Birthday Honours list.

Lynam, who has worked at TRL for 40 years and also spent some time with the Department for Transport in the early 1980s, received the honour for his services to road safety.
