VAUXHALL’S new Corsa and the Ford S-MAX have both been awarded the maximum five stars for adult occupant protection in the latest round of Euro NCAP crash tests.

The Corsa also attained three stars for child occupant protection and three stars for pedestrian protection. The S-MAX scored four stars and two stars respectively.

Euro NCAP chairman Claes Tingvall said: ‘The S-MAX sets the standards for other MPVs while the Corsa is another high-performing supermini.’
