KIA is recalling 1,561 Kia Sorentos to rectify an airbag wiring problem.

The fault will cause incorrect deployment of the Sorento’s side curtain airbags in the event of a collision.

However, there are no reported cases of this occurring in the UK. Customers who own the facelifted Sorentos, built between May 4, 2006 and March 28, 2007, will be contacted to arrange a time to have remedial work done free of charge.
