Mercedes-Benz’s high performance wing AMG has announced two new SL-Class cars, both with more than 500bhp.

The two-seater SL63 will pack a 525bhp, 6.3-litre V8 capable of rocketing it to 62mph in 4.6 seconds.

Its big brother, the SL65, sports a 612bhp biturbo V12, which means 62mph can be reached in just 4.2 seconds.

The SL63 will feature a brand new AMG SPEEDSHIFT seven-speed sports transmission, promising ultra fast gear changes, while the SL65 has a similar five-speed ‘box.

New AMG bodystyling gives both cars an aggressive look over its more standard SL cousins.

The AMG SLs will be launched in April.
