Green Motion orders new Nissan Leaf

Green Motion car rental has confirmed they will purchase and operate the world’s first full production zero emission vehicle, the Nissan Leaf.

Richard Lowden the founder and managing director of Green Motion, having driven the car in Lisbon today said, “The car speaks for itself – it truly delivers zero emissions driving with no compromise”. Green Motion will be introducing the vehicle onto their fleet during the first quarter of 2011.

Both leisure and corporate customers will have the opportunity to hire the Nissan Leaf and experience benefits of zero emissions motoring for themselves.  Green Motion will be introducing charging points at supporting locations and is confident that customer’s response will be highly positive especially at its London locations, due to the fact that the Nissan Leaf is exempt from the London’s congestion charge.
