A new partnership between Fleetondemand and Prohire has seen the two technology platforms integrate to provide solutions for common problems found with vehicle rental supply. The integrated system allows users of Fleetondemand to access the real-time availability of vehicles within Prohire’s 200 plus Independent rental companies which operate a fleet in excess of 27,000 cars, commercial and specialist vehicles.

Sarah Easton, managing director of Fleetondemand commented “This is one of the single biggest innovations to come to the UK rental market in the last 10 years. For the first time renters of vehicles will be able to physically see if and where vehicles are available in the UK and automatically reserve them in a split second.”

“The connectivity is end to end allowing a seamless and paperless environment to transact through one single platform. We believe this is now the largest automated network of independent rental companies in the UK and certainly the only one offering real-time availability.”

“The platform becomes an extremely powerful tool for sourcing specialist and specific requests, particularly with commercial and prestige vehicles and demonstrates Fleetondemand’s commitment to delivering new and innovative solutions for this market.”

Paul Newman, managing director of Prohire Software Systems added “I am delighted that our ‘connected’ community of Prohire users will be able to benefit from this unique opportunity – the ability to access corporate rentals from a new source is very exciting – as to is the ability to offer corporate users a detailed vehicle search engine which incorporates multiple search criteria for example tow bars, C02, Satellite Navigation, colour etc.”

Scott Groome, managing director at Longmarsh summed up the independents view "I think the Fleetondemand/Prohire joint venture is a very interesting concept. I believe it will enhance our client portfolio and help increase our brand within a corporate market place, a market we normally struggle to penetrate.”
