Lex Autolease recently held a ‘Back to School’ day at eight of its UK sites in aid of BEN, the automotive industry charity.

More than 1,500 employees helped to organise Lex Autolease’s committee of fundraising champions or ‘Headmistresses’ co-ordinated activities.

In keeping with the theme, staff could indulge themselves at the ‘School’ tuck shop, pull their weight in the Tug o’ War or get rhythmic with a hoola hoop amongst other retro games.

Other activities across the group helped towards a final total of almost £3,000. Special commendations go to Vivienne Allen and Karen Carpenter who headed up the fundraising committee.

Thanks to companies like Lex Autolease BEN is able to maintain its outstanding level of care to the automotive and related industries.

BEN helps more than 15,000 men, women and children annually; providing advice, friendship, financial assistance and support as well as operating five care centres around the country.
