Following in the footsteps of the launch of the flagship Van Monster site in October last year, Northgate Vehicle Hire has opened new workshop facilities in Cannock.

Continuing in its aim to support local businesses in need of efficient fleets, Northgate will be providing state-of-the-art facilities for vehicle servicing and maintenance.

Located just off the M6, the Cannock site sees Northgate sharing Van Monster’s 5.75 acre site and occupying 1056 sq/m of workshop space and 480 sq/m of office space as part of a £2.5m investment in total.

Simon Ridley, Northgate Vehicle Hire’s fleet services director, said: “We’re expecting to see a significant rise in business and retail rental, as well as an increase in demand for the workshop facilities, due to the accessibility of the Cannock site.

“Our fleet has grown substantially over the last 15 years with acquisition along the way and, with the recent re-brand, we wanted to ensure that our sites were of a standard congruent with other areas of the business.”

He continued: “This year we are investing £1.5m in infrastructure and facilities so making sure we have a presence in key regional locations, such as Cannock, is crucial.”

The new site in Cannock is also home to the flagship site for Van Monster, which is part of Northgate and specialises in the sale of premium used vans and commercial vehicles.
