Amey has appointed Mark Brown as business development director of its consulting division.

Brown will be responsible for driving further growth in Amey’s consultancy disciplines and expanding Amey’s advisory services in areas such as transport planning and strategic asset management.

Drawing on his 25 years’ industry experience, including transport, water, development and international consultancy, Brown will help broaden Amey’s consulting business. His previous post was group development director at Halcrow where his responsibilities included leading two company-wide change and business turnaround programmes.

Andrew Milner, managing director of Amey’s Consulting division, said: “We are delighted to appoint someone of Mark’s calibre to further enhance Amey’s offering to our business.”

Brown said: “I am looking forward to helping maintain Amey’s market-leading reputation. I will be working to broaden Amey’s highly successful integrated services offer in its core highways and rail markets to help develop new business models and client relationships.”
