Continental tops Which? Best Buy table

Which? has awarded Best Buy status to the ContiPremiumContact 5 and ContiSportContact 5 in two tyre sizes.

The Which? Best Buy endorsements reveal the must-have tyres across popular sizes. The awards highlight exceptional performance with an overall ranking and are seen as an important indicator for consumers looking to choose the best product available.

Continental has taken top spot with the ContiSportContact 5 in tyre size 225/45 R17 W/Y, popular on models such as the BMW 3 Series, Ford Focus and VW Touran. Which? awarded Best Buy status to the Continental in this size with an overall rating of 69%, adding; “The Continental is best overall for braking, traction and handling on wet roads, also proving very good on dry tarmac.”

Also taking top honours, the ContiPremiumContact 5 has been awarded Best Buy status for one of the most popular supermini sizes in the market, the 185/60 R15H commonly fitted to cars such as the MINI, Peugeot 208 and VW Polo.

The ContiPremiumContact 5 beat off competition from 17 other tyres in this size from different brands to take top spot with an overall rating of 69%. Which? said; “The Continental is sure-footed on wet roads and low rolling resistance means good fuel economy.”
