Fix Auto UK has announced the appointment of Tavistock Accident Repair and Service Centre to its network.

The bodyshop is a BSI Kitemark-accredited 10,000 sq ft operation with an annual turnover of £1.1m, and will trade as Fix Auto Tavistock.  The business is owned by Nick Stanton - a hotelier by trade who acquired the business little over a year ago following a move to the region - and is managed by Ben Stephens.

Already with bodyshops in Bristol, Weston Super Mare, Yeovil, Glastonbury, Mid-Devon, Bodmin and Penzance, the addition of Fix Auto Tavistock to the network brings the number of franchise sites in the region to eight.
Ian Pugh, managing director Fix Auto UK, said: “They say strength comes in numbers and that now rings true for Fix Auto this region.

“Within the past 12 months we have seen significant growth in the region leading to arguably the strongest coverage there, which is a great achievement and is a testament to the entire business.  I’d like to welcome Nick and his team on board and look forward to the opportunity to work closely with them over the coming months.”

Commenting on his decision to join the Fix Auto network, Nick Stanton, owner of Fix Auto Tavistock said: “While I have to concede to being relatively new to the car repair industry, I have spent my entire working life setting extremely high levels of customer service to meet the demands and requirements of guests visiting my hotels. This experience, coupled with the expertise of both my existing team and those from within Fix Auto will, in my mind, swiftly make Fix Auto Tavistock a mighty force to be reckoned within.”

“I’ve watched the growth of Fix Auto into the largest, fully-branded repair network in the UK, and have been really impressed with the progress.  I’m particularly looking forward to tapping into the expert operational and marketing support provided by Fix Auto, but I believe we will also strongly benefit from sharing best practice with the other bodyshops in the South West.  I firmly believe that by becoming Fix Auto Tavistock we have taken a big leap forward as a business.”
