Fleet consultancy specialist, TR Fleet, has appointed John Lewis as non-executive director.

John’s experience within the fleet management industry spans three decades, with senior positions covering both cars and commercial vehicles. He has spent the last 13 years as Chief Executive of the industry trade body, The British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association.

A champion of work-related road safety, John chaired the Department for Transport (DfT) funded “Driving for Better Business” programme and led various studies including a report into the potential use of Intelligent Speed Adaptation in both reducing vehicle accidents and pollution. During this time he was also a trustee of road safety charity “Roadsafe”.

John is currently a member of the DfT advisory group “The Motorists’ Forum”, a member of the board of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and a member of the RAC Foundation “Public Policy Committee”.
