Arval UK has announced the appointment of Benoit Dilly as managing director (pictured).

Dilly takes up the position from September 1. He replaces Bart Beckers, who is leaving Arval UK after three years as managing director to become chief commercial officer at Arval Group, based in Paris.

Beckers will lead the group business functions including sales, marketing, pricing and service delivery, as well as selected business transformation projects.

According to an Arval UK statement, Beckers leaves the UK business "with improved systems, a more focused and efficient structure, and in a strong position for future growth and continued, solid profits".

He oversaw the disposal of the Allstar fuelcard business in December 2011, although the operation, now owned by FleetCor, continues to operate out of Arval's Swindon head office.

Dilly moves to Arval having held a similar position at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, part of the BNP Paribas banking group.

He knows the Arval business well having held a number of international roles within Arval prior to moving to BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions. He is also currently UK retail co-ordinator for BNP Paribas in the UK, the area of the bank that Arval falls within, and has been a board director of Arval UK since last year.

The statement continues: "The knowledge that he has built during this time means that he has a strong understanding of the business and the fleet market in the UK, making him perfectly equipped to provide continuity and further build a growth strategy for the UK entity."
