A North East-based driver training centre is offering free simulator demonstration sessions to businesses during Road Safety Week 2014.

Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions division works to help fleet motorists cut costs, reduce emissions and boost safety levels whilst out on the road.

The first training centre of its type in the UK, the Washington-based Effective Transport Solutions officially opened its doors in June.

Using the latest simulation technology, housed in Minis alongside a suite of smaller ‘pod’ simulators, the centre offers a wide variety of training packages suited to any organisation with vehicles on the road. Training covers areas such as hazard perception, driving in adverse weather conditions, tired driving and fuel efficient motoring – the latter of which can help companies reduce fuel costs by up to 10 per cent.

Gordon Pattie, Centre Manager at Effective Transport Solutions, says: “Working to improve levels of safety among people who drive as part of their job is central to what we do here at Effective Transport Solutions. That’s why we’re fully behind Brake’s Road Safety Week campaign and that’s why we’re providing free demonstration sessions to organisations across the region. We want to help people in business fleets learn more about road safety and what they can do to improve it”.
