The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association's (BVRLA) annual Fleets in Charge Conference on July 2 will explore electric vehicle (EV) policy ambition and real-world adoption challenges facing the industry.
The one day event will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster.
This year’s conference theme, “Changing Demand or Demanding Change?”, sets the tone for a day of debate and analysis around the policies, market dynamics and infrastructure needed to support the UK’s transition to zero-emission transport.
Speakers include Richard Bruce, director of transport decarbonisation at the Department for Transport (DfT), alongside industry representatives such as Edmund King (AA), Dr Vicky Edmonds (EVA England), Vicky Read (Charge UK), Lisa Brankin (Ford) and Ian Plummer (Auto Trader).
Discussions will cover topics such as the used EV market, infrastructure gaps, evolving consumer behaviour, AI in aftersales and the impact of new market entrants.
Toby Poston, BVRLA chief executive, said: "Fleets are leading the way on the EV transition, but they can’t do it alone.
“We are at a pivotal moment. The industry is making huge strides, but it’s doing so against a backdrop of mixed messages, global headwinds and local challenges."
Tickets are now available, with discounted rates for BVRLA members.
- Fleet industry professionals interested in continuing the conversation later in the year can also register for Fleet & Mobility Live at fleetandmobilitylive.com on October 7-8 at the NEC, Birmingham, where the evolving EV landscape remains high on the agenda.
