Kwik Fit is taking part in Brake’s road safety event, Speed Down Save Lives, for Road Safety Week during November 20-26.

As part of the campaign, Kwik Fit has sponsored the charity’s 'no need to speed' leaflets.

The leaflets have been distributed for free to hundreds of road safety professionals, including emergency services, schools and community groups.

Roger Griggs, communications director at Kwik Fit, said: “Road Safety Week is an excellent opportunity for us to all come together and highlight the importance of staying safe on the roads, although we should all be focused on this throughout the year.

“Too many lives are lost on our roads through careless or irresponsible driving. We are urging drivers to be aware of their speed and remain vigilant at all times behind the wheel.”

The content has also gone on display at all of the UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair chain centres across the UK, in order to raise awareness about the severity of the issue.

Dave Nichols, community engagement manager for Brake, added: “We’re delighted Kwik Fit is getting involved with Road Safety Week and strengthening Brake’s campaign for safer roads.
