A free online service, maintenance and repair (SMR) portal is being offered by Fuel Card Services to its 55,000 customer organisations plus all businesses across the UK.

The new portal, MyService Expert, will provide a single point of access to a network of thousands of garages nationwide and, it says, will deliver typical savings of up to 30%.

Fuel Card Services’ head of commercial business Tom Cosways said: “As a business, we are not just about fuel but helping our customers access a wide range of vehicle-related products through our new central portal – myfleethub.co.uk – covering telematics, insurance, whole life cost controls and mileage expenses.

“MyService Expert is the latest of these, allowing businesses of all sizes to buy SMR services in a manner that previously was only open to the largest fleets with benefits such as a nationwide garage network, advantageous buying terms and consolidated billing. However, the new maintenance platform changes the picture completely.

"Finding the best supplier is done through our online directory, you will authorise all work before it takes place, so you know exactly what every job will cost you while accessing our discounts, and you’ll receive a single detailed bill every month.

“For many businesses, SMR – and the role it plays in ensuring duty of care - is an ongoing headache and the new platform solves potentially all of the problems they regularly encounter at a stroke.”

Cosways said that he expected take up of the platform to be substantial across the Fuel Card Services customer base as well as attracting many more, new clients.

Epyx’s commercial director Tim Meadows (pictured) said: “We have been increasingly working with third parties providing our SMR platform technology and Fuel Card Services is one of the largest so far.

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with them on this deal. The MyService Expert project is an exciting development that we believe will bring genuine benefits to many fleets.”
