Honda Civic diesel 2018

Marc Samuel, fleet sales operations manager at Honda, told Fleet News at Company Car In Action 2018  Civic diesel sales will buck the trend of a declining market in the UK in the next 12 months.

What has been the most popular model this year?

The Civic diesel (pictured) has been the most popular model with fleets and on stand at this year’s at CCIA.

What is your priority this year?

The priority for Honda is the Civic diesel as we launched it to market at the start of this year.  Our job now is to increase visibility and understanding within the market in order to further drive sales.

What are your fleet sales expectations this year and longer term?

In an overall declining market, we are expecting our Civic diesel sales to buck this trend and increase over the next 12 months.

Longer term, Honda launched its electric vision for 2025 at the Geneva Motor Show last year – by then, our objective is to have two thirds of our European sales featuring electrified powertrains.
