Fleet managers and finalists for the Fleet News Awards have been sharing their excitement ahead of tonight's event (check out the gallery of social media posts).

With less than seven hours to go until the 30th annual Fleet News Awards, held at the Grosvenor Hotel London and hosted by the BBC’s Huw Edwards, attendees are sharing their delight at being shortlisted.

Anticipation is growing in the fleet sector to discover who has won a coveted Fleet News trophy, and fleet managers are commending their teams on LinkedIn, enhancing the comradery and support given within the industry.

Skanska’s head of fleet Julie Madoui expressed her pride at being shortlisted for the Fleet Manager of the Year Award and, thanked her team for their support in being in the running to win the Safe Fleet Award.

TrustFord’s fleet and commercial vehicle director Mark Wilkie also shared pride for his “fantastic team” and hoped to repeat their win in 2016 for Fleet Dealer of the Year

Johnsons Cars’ head of fleet operations Louise Baker left a heart-warming note, and reminded her team that, “regardless of the results on the night, you should all be very proud of the job that you do”.

On a lighter note, concerns were raised about fitting into tuxedos with amusing pictures.

Fleet News remains confident that all attendees will fit into their glad rags and that everything will be ‘alright on the night’.

Attendees will be able to indulge in a three-course meal and a barrel of laughs, courtesy of after dinner comedian Sean Lock.

With the call to dinner at 7pm, we look forward to an evening of networking and celebrating the best in fleet.
