Seat named Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer at Fleet News Awards

Seat fleet manufacturer of the year, fleet news awards.

Seat UK has been named the Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer of the Year by Fleet News.

On the 40th year of the Fleet News Awards, the brand secured one of the most hotly contested prizes, representing the pinnacle of fleet excellence in the eyes of industry.

Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief of Fleet News, said: "Seat’s engagement with fleets and leasing companies has greatly improved.

“It’s been helped by the launch of some excellent new models but it has also restructured its account management team and introduced new initiatives that really make a difference to fleets and their drivers. Seat wants to listen, learn and improve its service – in all three, it’s succeeding."

Seat UK head of fleet and business sales, Peter McDonald, said: “We are really thrilled and humbled to be awarded the Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer.

“We are a growing brand, and with a much broader product portfolio we are becoming a really relevant partner to the fleet industry. From a sales perspective it comes at time when Seat has entered the top 10 true fleet manufacturers.

“Our growing portfolio of award-winning vehicles has been underpinned by a determination to differentiate ourselves and make our proposition much better and easier for our customers.

“With new initiatives like the four-day test drive scheme, brand new website tools for fleets and investment in its team of fleet specialists, the brand has taken huge steps; backed up by sales growth across fleet and true fleet despite an otherwise difficult market.”

In addition to the Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer win, Seat was highly commended in the Best Small Car and Best Compact SUV categories for its Ibiza and New Arona respectively, adding to their growing reputation as class leaders, offering value, eye-catching design, practicality, technology and impressive driving dynamics.

Seat UK recorded its best ever fleet and true fleet sales results in 2017, up by 33.7% and 49.4% respectively, this has continued into 2018, where the brand has achieved a further 51% year on year growth cementing its position as as a top 10 manufacturer in true fleet.
