M Group, RoSPA Fleet Safety Gold Award.

M Group Services Plant and Fleet Solutions has achieved a Fleet Safety Gold in the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.

The award was presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on July 5, 2018.

The RoSPA Fleet Safety Awards reward excellence and encourage improvement in performance standards in the vital operational area of managing occupational road risk.

M Group Services Plant and Fleet Solutions executive director, Jeremy Harrison, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded a Fleet Safety Gold Award by RoSPA.

“Our in-house fleet team manages over 6,000 drivers and vehicles and over 14,000 items of plant and equipment across M Group Services’ utility (Morrison Utility Services & PMP), telecom (Morrison Utility Services & Magdalene), transport (Dyer & Butler) and data (Morrison Data Services) divisions.

“We constantly challenge ourselves to identify and implement innovation in key areas such as vehicle safety systems, driving analysis, coaching and training.

“The progress that we continue to make in these hugely important areas is underpinning our continued commitment to drive and deliver outstanding safety values, practices and performance for all of our plant and fleet equipment.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
