BCA sells 1,100 VWFS vehicles in single sale

BCA sold a record-breaking 1,100 vehicles on behalf of Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) at its Perry Barr site on January 21.

The sale featured Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda product, offered in three auction lanes.

More than 100 buyers registered to bid in-lane, and nearly 800 different buyers joined the auction via the BCA Buyer app and BCA Live Online.

With competitive bidding from physical and online buyers throughout the day, the event achieved a 99.5% conversion and an average value of 98.6% of CAP Clean.

Underlining the demand from buyers, sales proceeds exceeded £17.2 million with an average selling price of nearly £15,600 – both records for a VWFS sale.

Dominic Burr, BCA regional general manager, said: “This was a record breaking sale event for the BCA and VWFS partnership, with over 1,100 vehicles offered for physical sale from one seller on one day.  VWFS offered a superb selection of desirable retail quality stock and it proved irresistible to our buyers.”

BCA is staging another VWFS sale at the Perry Barr centre on February 18 with around 1,200 vehicles consigned for the event.
