Rivervale Leasing 600-vehicle fleet win ‘underpinned’ by ODO platform

Rivervale Leasing has secured a major contract to supply fleet management services to a fleet of 600 vehicles for a sales and marketing agency.

The new fleet will go live on December 1 and the contract win represents an important step up for Rivervale Leasing in acquiring larger customers and expanding the fleet management arm of their broker business.

Following an extensive tender process, the Rivervale team says it was successful thanks to its focus on customer service and its fleet management system from ODO.

ODO is a provider of fleet management technology for the leasing broker and dealer sectors, offering and end-to-end fleet management solution which enables brokers and dealers to introduce recurring revenue streams to their business.

Rivervale Leasing’s chief operating officer, Vince Pemberton, said: “Winning a fleet of this size reflects the progress we have made over the last few years as we have expanded our fleet management capabilities both inhouse and with the support of the ODO platform.

“It represents a major milestone for our business as we continue to expand our fleet management offering through a ‘customer first’ approach.”

Robert Gorby, chief commercial officer for ODO, said: “We’re delighted that we have been able to play an important role in this major milestone for Rivervale and look forward to continuing to work closely with them as they expand their fleet management business.”

Virtual Fleet & Mobility Live 2020: The virtual fleet expo

Video: Fleet News editor-in-chief Stephen Briers and events director Chris Lester introduce the 2020 virtual event and give a preview of what it will look like.

The annual event was due to take place at the NEC, Birmingham on October 6-7 but as a result of the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and after consultation with the visitor advisory board, Fleet News has taken the decision to hold an online event in November instead.

Among the exclusive features at the virtual event will be a special EV & Hybrid Showroom which will bring to life the latest electric models with interactive displays that will enable you to get up close to the UK’s best fleet suppliers.

Visitors and exhibitors will be able to communicate through live chat, participate in live Q&As, ‘visit’ branded booths, and find out about industry-leading technology solutions.

The decision to go virtual was made easier by the fact that around 40% of fleets already have, or expect to shortly have, a company travel ban that would prevent them from attending live events this year, while a similar proportion did not anticipate attending live events until sometime in 2021.
