Teletrac Navman has secured a new deal with Harvey & Brockless to optimise its delivery service.

Harvey & Brockless supplies to a nationwide network of customers using its own fleet of refrigerated vehicles. A range of tools from Teletrac Navman’s fleet management platform, Director, have been deployed across its 75-strong fleet.

Harvey & Brockless says it will benefit from the more “sophisticated” vehicle tracking and reporting system, alongside driver behaviour monitoring to reduce on-road risks.

The company’s fleet of vehicles will also contain a temperature monitoring system, which ensures that temperature-controlled goods are handled correctly and remain in the right condition, allowing the business to gain real-time visibility to address any issues and avoid losses.

Teletrac Navman’s UK vice president of sales Scott Hutchins said: “Fast and efficient distribution is absolutely essential when operating in the food and drink sector, so our offering was a natural fit for Harvey & Brockless’ fleet requirements.

"The business now has full visibility of its fleet performance, as well as the ability to maintain food safe temperatures during transit.”

Additionally, the deal includes the MNAV 950 portable communication device installed into every vehicle, along with access to its professional services team to help plan and implement the fit-out across the entire fleet.

Harvey & Brockless’ fleet manager Robert Elliott said: “When looking to change our tracking and telematics provider, Teletrac Navman really stood out by offering continuous temperature monitoring during shipment, which allows us to maintain compliancy by preventing food safety problems from occurring.

“The investment has also helped to optimise driver journeys, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through the smooth-running of our services.”
