Seat achieved its best ever true fleet sales last year with 18,825 registrations – 27% more than in the previous year.

The growth, which came as the sector shrunk by 8%, means the manufacturer has been the fastest growing manufacturer in the sector for the past two years.

It also cements Seat’s position as a consistent top 10 OEM in the true fleet.

Peter McDonald, head of fleet and business sales at Seat UK, said: “Delivering a fleet programme which meets or exceeds the expectations of customers from SMEs to leasing companies and large corporate fleets is a big challenge.

“The results speak for themselves and we welcome the fact the industry values the relationship with our brand.

“We have a genuine desire to keep innovating to improve the fleet customer experience, introducing fresh products and initiatives which resonate with drivers and decision-makers.”

The Leon was Seat’s most popular model in true fleet with registrations of 9,465, while its Ateca and Arona SUVs achieved combined sales of 6,071.
