Renault has confirmed prices, specifications and CO2 emissions for the new Clio, which will be available on company fleets in October.

Orders can be placed now, with prices from £14,295. The new Clio is more than £1,000 cheaper than the new Vauxhall Corsa and £1,700 cheaper than a Ford Fiesta.

The new model is built on a brand-new platform and offers higher levels of refinement and luxury, plus advanced technology.

It achieved a five-star Euro NCAP score and is available with a large range of driver assistance systems.

There a four engines offered in the line-up. The entry level SCe75 carries the lowest price tag, while the turbocharged TCe100 costs £1,000 more.

Renault expects the TCe100 to be the best seller. It emits 99g/km of CO2 and can achieve 62.1mpg.

A more powerful TCe130 is also available, with emissions of 118g/km. It comes exclusively with an EDC automatic transmission.

One diesel version is offered. Priced from £17,295, the dCi 85 is the most frugal, emitting 94g/km and achieving 73.6mpg.

From the middle of next year a hybrid model will be available using a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors.

The range is split across four trim levels: Play, Iconic, S Edition and RS Line.

Entry-level Play comes with LED headlights, air conditioning, DAB, lane departure warning with lane keep assist and AEB.

The Iconic is expected to be the most popular trim, it features 16-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, rear parking sensors and tinted rear windows.

S Edition is equipped with a 9.3-inch touchscreen, climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlight and wiper control.

Range topping RS Line is the sportiest trim. It has adjustable driving modes, a rear-view camera and RenaultSport-inspired styling.

Options include a Bose audio system, digital instrument cluster, heated leather seats and various colour trim packs.
