Dacia has introduced a new hybrid engine for its seven-seat Jogger model, which is now available to order.
It’s the first hybrid-powered Dacia to be offered and uses a 1.6-litre petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery.
The Jogger Hybrid produces 140PS and emits 112g/km of CO2. The car can achieve 56.5mpg.
Dacia says the Jogger Hybrid can operate in full-electric mode for 80% of the time, on urban roads, and will save drivers up to 40% on fuel compared to a petrol model.
The ‘B’ (Brake) mode in the fully automatic, clutchless gearbox, amplifies the regenerative braking and increases engine braking. This mode optimises energy recovery and driving comfort in urban areas.
The hybrid drivetrain builds on the model’s existing practicality, joining features such as removable third row seats and the availability of modular roof bars. There is no reduction in load or passenger space as a result of the new powertrain.
A seven-inch digital instrument cluster is fitted exclusively to hybrid Jogger models, which displays information such as the level of charge in the traction battery and the remaining range.
The Jogger Hybrid 140 is available in two trims: Expression and Extreme SE.
Expression includes front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, blind spot warning, keyless entry, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, automatic wipers and automatic air conditioning as standard. Its infotainment system is based around an eight-inch media display, with the benefits of DAB radio, smartphone replication, Bluetooth, four speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Extreme SE version is priced from £23,395 and adds 16-inch black alloy wheels, sliding tray tables, heated front seats, and the eight-inch MediaNav infotainment system with integrated navigation, DAB radio, smartphone replication, Bluetooth, six speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
