MG is now accepting orders for its long-awaited sports car, the Cyberster, and confirmed it will arrive in August.

The electric roadster marks a step change for the brand, which, since its reinvention under Chinese owners SAIC, has focused on building affordable electric family cars.

It is the first all-new convertible car from MG, since the 1995 MG F.

The single motor Cyberster Trophy is available from £54,995. It has a 340PS motor that powers the rear wheels and offers a range of 316 miles.

For £59,995, the Cyberster GT is the marque’s new flagship. It's the most powerful production model in MG’s 100-year history with 503PS and 725Nm. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive GT is capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds. It offers a driving range of 276 miles.
