Stewart Whyte has been made an honorary life member of ACFO.

Whyte joined the organisation in 1985 and held a number of posts within ACFO’s Southern Region, latterly stepping down as vice-chairman in March. Additionally, he served as an ACFO director from 1994 to 2011.

Whyte, managing director of Fleet Audits, which from 1988 to 2013 provided a secretariat service to ACFO, said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with and for ACFO over many years and I have been proud to do it.

“I have seen the organisation change and grow so that it now deservedly is the premier organisation for fleet operators. I wish the organisation every success in the future.”

ACFO chairman John Pryor said: “Stewart has been a tremendous servant to ACFO for more than 30 years. His in-depth fleet knowledge and experience has been hugely beneficial to ACFO as a whole and many members.”
