Lightfoot has announced that Rupert Lyon Taylor has been promoted to fleet division managing director, with “exciting challenges” ahead.

Taylor (pictured) joined the company in 2017 as operations director, and will now have primary responsibility for managing the fleet side of the business as managing director.

His new role will allow chief executive Mark Roberts to focus on the future of the company and progressing the business to international expansion.

Roberts said: “Rupert has extensive experience from the automotive distribution industry, including overseeing the rapid growth in another innovation-focused business.

“I have no doubt that he will excel as managing director of Lightfoot’s fleet division.

"One of his most exciting challenges will be overseeing the doubling of our revenues and workforce this year, whilst ensuring that customers continue to receive the excellent level of service and support for which we have become known. Congratulations Rupert.’

Taylor said: “Lightfoot is an innovative young company with so much potential, and I look forward to building on our ethos of ‘rewarding better drivers’ to realise it fully.

"We have fantastic customers onboard and plenty in the pipeline for the coming year. It’s a privilege to take this role on and an opportunity to relish.”
