Tesla has confirmed that the first deliveries and test drives for the upgraded Model 3 will begin in the UK and Ireland from January 27.

The electric car manufacturer unveiled the updated model in October, with pricing starting from £39,990 for the standard rear-wheel drive model. 

The popularity of Tesla’s electric vehicles (EVs) with company car drivers was illustrated in recent analysis by Fleet News, which highlighted the UK’s best-selling company cars

The Tesla Model Y emerged as a clear favourite among company car drivers, for the second consecutive year, achieving the largest number of registrations in the true fleet market during 2023.

The Model Y was also the fifth best-selling car overall, and the UK's most popular EV.

New analysis from The Electric Car Scheme reveals the top 10 most popular EV's through its salary sacrifice scheme in 2023.

The Tesla Model Y was the most popular car sourced via sal/sac, with the Model 3 fourth.

The BMW i4 was the second most popular salary sacrifice car, followed by the MG4 in third. Rounding off the top five was the Audi Q4.

It was followed by the Cupra Born, Kia EV6, Skoda Enyaq, Audi Q8 and Polestar 2.

Tesla also topped The Electric Car Scheme’s most popular brands.

The Electric Car Scheme has predicted that Tesla will continue to dominate the EV market in the UK, with the Tesla Model 3 taking top spot in 2024.
