The Freight Transport Association (FTA)'s Van Excellence programme is to run three more operator briefings in spring 2017.

The sessions explore risk and driver management and discuss best practice and compliance issues.

The briefings will take place on February 15 in Harrogate, February 22 in London and on March 1 in Birmingham, providing a unique opportunity to explore operational best practice across a range of key areas.

The events are designed to assist existing Van Excellence members or any operator keen to know where to begin, giving them peace of mind surrounding the operation of their van fleet.

Mark Cartwright, FTA’s head of vans (pictured), said: “The popularity of last year’s events shows how important safety and compliance are considered in the van industry, and illustrates what we can achieve if we all work together.  We hope that everyone who attends this year’s briefings will take away with them some practical advice in order to help raise standards even further and build on what the industry has achieved so far.”

Van Excellence is an industry-led initiative which aims to enhance standards of van operator compliance, celebrate operators who demonstrate excellence and represent the interests of the van industry.

The Van Excellence Operational Briefings 2017 are supported by ARI, Bott, Hertz Van Rental, Lex Autolease and Brigade Electronics.

They are open to non-members and the cost to attend is £50 + VAT per delegate, and can be booked online or through the FTA member centre.
