Volkswagen is expanding the Multivan line-up with a new eight-seat version to enhance its passenger carrying capability.

The current Multivan range offers six- or seven-seat configurations.

In the eight-seat version, there are two rows of three seats in the rear and two up front.

The Multivan's seats are all individually adjustable, foldable and removable. They attach to tracks in the vehicle's floor, enabling a wide range of configurations.

With eight people on board, the Multivan still offers 763 litres of luggage space.

Two powertrains are offered on eight-seat versions: a 150PS TDI diesel and a 204PS TSI petrol.

Other models in the Multivan line-up are available with a plug-in hybrid engine.
