Stephen Briers has been an automotive business journalist for more than 30 years, starting his career with vehicle accident repair title Body Magazine in 1993.
He joined Emap in 1998 and was editor of leading franchised dealer publication Automotive Management from 2002-2009 during which time he was named Emap Automotive’s editor of the year.
Editor of Fleet News since 2009, with the brand winning Bauer Media’s website of the year in 2011, Stephen was promoted to group editor of Fleet News and Automotive Management in 2015, overseeing the content strategy across digital, social media and events. Since October 2023, his portfolio of brands also includes RAIL magazine.


Chris Connors, head of fleet and travel, ISS
I am currently the Head of Fleet and Travel for ISS where I am responsible for c.1800 vehicles made up of 1200 LCVs and 600 company cars. I am a member of the AFP and part of their LCV committee. I am also a member of the advisory boards for Fleet and Mobility Live as well as Company Car in Action. In addition I am regular panelist on the Fleet News at 10 monthly webinar.


Lucy Stuart, Head of fleet & logistics, Cadent
Worked for Cadent in a variety of project manager, transition and risk management roles for over 10 years before taking the Role as Head of Fleet & Logistics 16 months ago.
Responsible for a fleet of 3,000 LCVs, 1,200 company cars and six tractor units, all fulfilling a range of business-critical roles.
I am a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusivity, and previously co-chaired Cadent’s Women in Cadent group, which addresses perceptions around roles which are traditionally seen as male positions and was responsible for setting up the Menopause support group.
I have recently agreed to join the steering group for the new Fleet News initiative Empowering Women in Fleet.
