Specialist vehicle services launched

Adapted Vehicle Hire (AVH), a supplier of adapted cars and wheelchair accessible vehicles has set up a new subsidiary - Specialist Vehicle Services (SVS).

Utilising the specialist nature of the AVH business, SVS has been developed with the aim of providing a better supply of non-standard vehicles for medium to long-term rental needs to the fleet and leasing industry.

Lorraine Farnon, managing director of AVH, said: “The big challenge for many of the wholesale providers of vehicles – the fleet and leasing companies – is getting access to specialist vehicles to meet the specific needs of their clients.

“We have, therefore, developed a proposition to provide specialist vehicles that do not generally feature as part of rental companies’ fleet.

“Our approach is to provide those vehicles that are non core to the rental sector. The SVS proposition is to acquire and operate specialist vehicles to fleet intermediaries rather than Corporate end users. We will purchase the vehicles and manage the rental to the client’s specific requirements.”

Headquartered in Uxbridge, Middlesex, Specialist Vehicle Services operates from a network of strategically placed rental hubs around the UK, providing flexible and convenient nationwide coverage.
