Laura Shackleton, customer relationship manager at Zenith, has been awarded a BVRLA award for achieving the highest mark in 2012 in the BVRLA Professional Fleet Consultancy Development Programme.

The four-day Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme aims to enhance leasing professionals’ skills and knowledge, to bring them more closely in line with the demands and responsibilities of fleet managers.

The course, which was developed in conjunction with the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM), covers areas such as finance, vehicle acquisition, law and consultancy.

Shackleton has worked at Zenith for more than six years and took the course with the support of Zenith’s Academy, which is Zenith’s own training and development programme.

She said: “I enjoyed taking part in the course and feel it has provided me with a further insight into the needs and challenges of a fleet manager. This will help me in my day to day role of developing customer relationships, providing fleet consultancy and strategic account development.”
