BCA has hit the milestone of selling 200,000 Kia models since it partnered with the manufacturer in a 10-year deal in September 2015.

This makes the BCA Immingham site “key” to Kia’s target to sell 100,000 cars a year, says Awais Ajmal, Kia's head of supply chain.

Under the partnership deal, BCA Immingham has received investment to redevelop and extend facilities.

The site has also deployed a full range of video services from AutosOnShow including a DSLR turntable solution that captures HD images and videos.

Ajmal said: “BCA has a commitment to innovation and efficiency that sits at the heart of this contract.

"As we grow to meet our ambitious plans for Kia in the next few years, it is important that we have a flexible and efficient supply chain partner.”

BCA reported, “the site is key to Kia Motors UK plans to sell 100,000 cars a year in the UK by 2020, a sales target that will put it head-to-head with big-hitting rivals”.

BCA Vehicle Services’ managing director Paul Bromley said: “We placed innovation at the heart of our partnership with Kia. And by investing in new technology, such as RFID inventory management, we have delivered, efficient and smart solution for Kia.”
