The wider benefits of salary sacrifice and affinity schemes will be explored as part of Fleet & Mobility Live on October 11 and 12.

The biggest fleet show of the year is back at the NEC in Birmingham and Chris Connors, Countryside Partnerships head of facilities & fleet, will provide a fleet case study as part of the Benefits Box Theatre, sponsored by LeasePlan.

This area of the show has content especially tailored for fleet managers, as well as HR and finance executives involved in company car provision, through salary sacrifice or PCH and affinity schemes.

Registration for Fleet & Mobility Live is open now and free for fleet decision makers, including those that work in finance, procurement and finance departments.

Connors will talk about how cars can be used as a recruitment and retention tool, detailing how the property developer opened its affinity scheme and introduced its salary sacrifice proposition around the benefits of electric vehicles (EV).

He said: “A lot of what we’ve done is about risk management. What happens if a person leaves or there is a change of circumstances? We look at it from a business perspective to see where we’re likely to see costs and how we can mitigate them.

“I want to tailor this to the best practice and how we have interpreted that from a Countryside perspective.

“We’ll look at the tender process and how I presented it back to the business, including collaborating with the rewards and benefits team, as well as the finance team.”
