Terence Drane, customer relationship director at High Wycombe-based vehicle management provider FleetEurope, has announced his retirement after 24 years with the business.

After co-founding FleetEurope in 1992 with chairman and CEO John Yarroll, he played a key role in the development of the daily rental and vehicle leasing divisions.

Prior to joining FleetEurope, Drane held senior management and directorship roles at several automotive companies including Hertz, Raynesway Vehicle Contracts, Royscot Vehicle Contracts, BRS Car Lease and Swan National Leasing.

Drane said: “I’ve really enjoyed working at FleetEurope during the past 24 years.

"Growing the business organically from an initial start-up in 1992 to one of the UK’s leading vehicle management providers has been a rewarding experience.

"I’ve made many good friends along the way, working with some fantastic customers, suppliers and colleagues alike. I wish everyone at FleetEurope continued success in taking the business forward.”

Joe Howick, chief operating officer for FleetEurope, said: “Terence has been an absolute cornerstone in the growth of FleetEurope over the years, building long-standing relationships with a variety of blue chip customers.

"After a long and very successful career in the fleet industry, my colleagues and I would like to wish Terence and his wife Zoe every happiness on his retirement.”

Ian Diggins, who joined FleetEurope in June 2016, will assume Terence’s responsibilities for new business development and managing relationships with key clients.
