Truckman supplies 50 additional hardtops for Europcar's commercial fleet

Truckman.

Truckman is supplying an extra 50 Truckman RS Hardtops to a fleet of Toyota Hilux vehicles for Europcar UK.

Responding to strong demand, Europcar has increased its fleet of commercial vehicles and has chosen Truckman as the preferred partner for the supply and fitting of hardtops. Following the success of an initial order earlier this year, Europcar UK has added further hardtops to its commercial fleet.

Stuart Russell, specialist vehicle director at Europcar UK, said: “Europcar UK has embraced a philosophy of upfront vehicle acquisition so that we can offer a 4-hour ‘ready to rent’ van service, available through dedicated service hubs. The addition of the Truckman Hardtops for our 4x4 pick-ups simply underpins that proposition, enabling us to offer a commercial fleet ‘fit for purpose’.”

Truckman says its Hardtops are the only models in the UK designed to be compatible with the Hilux Active ladder gantry/rear window guard.

The British-built hardtop can transform the load bed into a safe and secure storage area for Europcar’s customers – many of whom use the vehicle for construction and commercial purposes.

Designed and manufactured by craftsmen at Truckman’s large development and production facility in the West Midlands. Truckman’s secure and robust commercial hardtops are popular with technicians, fleet managers and engineers across a range of industries including construction, agriculture, power distribution and telecoms.

Mike Wheeler, executive chairman of Truckman, said: “More and more tradesmen are opting for the versatility of pick-up trucks for their everyday work, and with the addition of a hardtop, a vehicle can meet diverse and specialist needs of any business.

“Our initial work with Europcar UK was a resounding success, and we were proud to be able to continue contributing our accessory range to its already impressive commercial fleet.”
