Volvo Car UK has launched a new virtual sales team following restructuring of the firm’s wider business sales team in 2018.

The overall aim of the virtual sales team is to make life less complicated for businesses who don’t have the time or resources to dedicate to sourcing fleet vehicles.

A dedicated virtual sales manager will work hand-in-hand with the customer to identify their vehicle needs, source the cars and facilitate the acquisition process with the Volvo retailer network on the customer’s behalf.

Automated vehicle quotes, videos walking the customer through the benefits of the vehicle being considered, and the booking of a flexible vehicle demo, are all administered by the customer’s virtual sales manager.

Once an order is placed, a local Volvo Business Centre team works with the retailer to complete the contract, simplifying and streamlining the whole process for SMEs.

Steve Beattie, head of business sales at Volvo Car UK, said: “Small businesses are under constant pressure: it’s not unusual that the person managing a business’ fleet is doing so in addition to their appointed role, leaving them limited time to dedicate to the task.

“With the launch of our virtual sales team, we aim to make life easier for SMEs. We take the hassle out of their fleet acquisitions by delivering a responsive, tailored service.”
