Wessex Fleet has introduced a new FMG solution to provide a round-the-clock accident management service for its 1,500 managed vehicles.

The bespoke product includes first notification of loss, roadside recovery and nationwide repair management.

It also features services such as tyre and glass replacement.

Simon Naylor, director of the fleet management company, said: “We endeavour at all times to create an environment where the customer’s experience is at the heart of everything we do.

“Our main objective was to protect the safety of our drivers by having expert support available outside normal working hours.”

To deliver the out-of-hours service, FMG works in partnership with a UK-wide network of vehicle repair and recovery operators, fixing all types of stricken vehicles at the roadside.

When a roadside repair isn’t possible or safe, FMG arranges the recovery of the vehicle and driver, specific to each fleet’s requirements.

Dave Parry, commercial director at FMG added: “We know that vehicle incidents and breakdowns often happen at the least opportune times and we are pleased to support Wessex Fleet in ensuring their drivers have access to all the support they need, when they need it.”
