FMG announced a new milestone in its 33-year history, surpassing 500 employees, with the appointment of HR assistant Julita Medel.

Continuing to build on its recognition as a Sunday Times Top 100 ‘great place to work’, the business has seen employment growth of 25% in the past two years, supporting the continued increase in new contracts, retention of customers and development of new innovations.

Medel’s appointment takes employee numbers over the 500 mark, placing FMG firmly in the UK’s top 1% of employers according to the ONS.

FMG’s managing director Harvey Stead said: “We are delighted to welcome all new starters to FMG, but Julita’s appointment is particularly momentous for the business.

“I am proud of our sustained and steady growth along with our impressive employee tenure; more than 40% of our employees have 10 years or more service with us, something that I believe is rare in this day and age.

“We have a wealth of experience across our leadership team, this combined with our employees’ skills, passion and expertise, generate a high-performing and engaged.”

FMG has grown from 403 employees in June 2017, to 501 in June 2019. The business recently held an open day at its head office Broad Lea House, Bradley, Huddersfield, to support their present recruitment drive which will continue for the next 3-4 months.

Over 90 people attended the event with many going on to formally apply for roles.
