Genesis has updated its G80 saloon with a refreshed design, updated interior and new powertrain.

The flagship model is now offered with an extended wheelbase, adding 130mm in length.

Changes to the front end include a new front bumper design along with more advanced headlights for better vision. In addition, the charge port now opens and closes electrically and has a heating function to prevent freezing.

The G80's interior benefits from new seats with an extended choice of upholstery colours. The dashboard has been redesigned and now incorporates a panoramic 27-inch infotainment display and new switchgear for the audio and climate systems.

Driving range has been boosted thanks to a new 94.5kWh battery pack. WLTP range is now 345 miles.

The G80 retains its 364PS twin motor powertrain setup but gains an electronically-controlled suspension damping system with Road Preview technology, which pre-emptively detects speedbumps and damaged road surfaces and adjusts the suspension damping control to provide a significantly smoother ride.

Genesis will start accepting orders for the new G80 in June. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
