A new white label disposal e-commerce platform from Epyx is designed to help motor manufacturers maximise their residual values (RVs).

Based on the company’s widely used 1link Disposal Network, it aims to provide a fast and effective means for manufacturers to repatriate vehicles back into their dealer network.

David Goodyear, head of business development, said: “Nearly all manufacturers are currently seeing their RVs come under pressure as a result of greater volumes in the used market.

“This problem is expected to grow in the second half of 2015 as large numbers of PCP contracts end and cars are returned.

“Our white label solution provides an easy and cost-effective means of fighting this trend, giving manufacturers greater control over supply, sales and pricing of their used stock.

“By directing how and when vehicles are repatriated into the dealer network, they are able to keep residuals stronger.”

The white label solution is designed to be fully branded to manufacturer requirements, provides full inventory management and comprehensive management reporting.

Goodyear said: “We have been trialling the platform with a major manufacturer for some time and they have seen a reduction in overall costs of disposal and a reduction in days to sale.

“Also, it is proving very popular with the dealer network, providing them with the means to buy prime stock quickly and easily.

“Interest in the product is already high and we expect to be able to announce our first manufacturer signing soon.”

1link Disposal Network is used by major fleets to manage online the selling of defleet stock to traders and dealers through a wide variety of channels including online and auctions.
