6 Hyundai Tucson facelift 2019

The new Hyundai Tucson goes on sale at the end of July, priced from £21,845.

Changes to the facelifted model include the introduction of a mild-hybrid diesel powertrain, a first for the brand.

Since its launch in 2015, Tucson has been one of Hyundai’s best-selling vehicles.

The new Tucson benefits from a refreshed design and comes with an increased number of safety features, with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Alert standardised across all trim levels.

An all new 1.6-litre diesel engine is now available, in 115PS and 136PS outputs combined with a six-speed manual (115PS/136PS) or seven-speed automatic (136PS).

The more powerful diesel is the most efficient, with CO2 emissions from 125g/km when used in conjunction with the automatic gearbox.

Petrol engines have an increased presence within the line-up, with both 1.6-litre GDi and 1.6-litre T-GDi engines available at higher trim levels than on the previous model Tucson.

The range topping 2.0-litre diesel incorporates 48v mild-hybrid technology. It produces 185PS and emits 151g/km of CO2.

Base S Connect versions feature a seven-inch display audio including DAB, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, rear view camera and Bluetooth. Automatic headlamps and climate control are among the key specification items fitted.

The SE Nav trim is priced from £23,345. It comes with privacy glass, roof rails, LED rear lamps, front and rear parking sensors, auto dimming rear mirror and automatic windscreen wipers. An eight-inch touchscreen display audio system with Navigation is fitted as standard.

Tucson Premium starts at £25,845. Premium trim includes keyless entry with start/stop button, an electronic parking brake, wireless charging pad for wireless charging equipped devices and a new KRELL premium audio system. Premim models also boast a leather interior, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, Blind Spot Detection system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The range topping Premium SE is available from £29,745 and is fitted with Bi-LED headlamps, adaptive smart cruise control and an around view monitor. Additional enhancements over the Premium specification include a panoramic glass sunroof, smart tailgate, heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats.
