The new Nissan Juke has been unveiled and will be available in early November, priced from £17,395.

As it launches, the new Juke faces strong competition from mainstream and premium manufacturers, therefore the new model has been given a sleeker look and higher-quality interior.

The new car will launch with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the same one that is found in the Nissan Micra.

It develops 117PS and emits 113-118g/km with a manual gearbox and 111-116g/km with an automatic.

The new Juke benefits from larger 19-inch alloy wheels, enhanced connectivity and Propilot driver assistance systems.

The infotainment system will use an eight-inch touchscreen, offering new connected services. Drivers will be able to interact with the car via an app, as well as receiving live traffic and accessing Google Streetview.

Sitting on the same Renault Nissan Alliance platform as the new Clio and upcoming Captur, the Juke promises better driver engagement and is larger than before.

Dimensions are now 4,210mm length; 1,595mm height; and a width of 1,800mm for better roominess while remaining compact and lighter by 23Kg

Boot space has grown to 422 litres, while interior space is improved to make more room for occupants.

Nissan has sold more than one million Jukes since its debut appearance in 2010, many of which were built in the brand’s Sunderland factory.

Nissan says inspiration for the new Juke design development has been tailored around B-SUV customer demands for leading design, latest tech and ‘fun to drive’ performance.

While the footprint of the new Juke has increased in size to provide greater roominess and comfort for the driver and passengers, Nissan says this was “without losing its agile driving style”.
