Hyundai has announced the pricing and specification for its updated i30 model, which features a fully-electrified powertrain line-up and a simplified trim structure.
Offered in Hatchback, Fastback and Tourer guise, the new i30 has been given a cosmetic update with new LED headlamps and a restyled rear bumper.
N Line models feature a bolder look than before with more aggressive styling changes to set it apart from the rest of the range.
There are three mild-hybrid engines available: a 120PS 1.0-litre turbo petrol, a 159PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 136PS 1.6-litre diesel.
The 1.0-litre petrol has the lowest CO2 emissions of 121g/km for the hatch and 119g/km for the estate.
Diesel models are RDE2 compliant, meaning they don’t attract the 4% BIK surcharge, helping to keep company car tax bills down.
Despite its increased power, the new 1.5-litre petrol is only marginally less efficient, with CO2 emissions of 122g/km.
All models, other than the Fastback, promise more than 50mpg, with the diesel tipping 60mpg in the WLTP test.
The i30 model range has been consolidated into three trim grades; SE Connect, Premium and N Line.
Prices start at £20,695 for the entry-level SE Connect hatch. It comes with 16-inch alloys, an eight-inch touchscreen, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and electric folding door mirrors.
The Premium is priced from £23,695 and adds LED headlamps, privacy glass, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with sat-nav and connected services, heated front seats, heated, steering wheel, front parking sensors and keyless entry.
N Line is priced from £24,695 and features a unique N Line bodykit and 18-inch wheels.
Deliveries of the new model are expected to start at the end of 2020.
